AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao credited his players for their dedication despite limited preparation time before winning the Supercoppa Italiana with a win over Inter Milan.
Conceicao was just appointed as AC Milan’s new manager and led the team to a 2-1 win over Juventus in the semi-finals before narrowly beating AC Milan 3-2 in the final to secure the trophy in just a few days in charge.
“It’s a great pleasure for the players because it’s not easy, the conditions are not ideal and we only have two or three days to sort out a lot of details that are important for me in these two matches, especially against two great teams,” Conceicao said after the game.
“All credit to the players for giving สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน everything we’ve been through. It’s clear there were mistakes because the opponents have quality and we’re aware of that and can improve.”
“It’s not easy because it’s not like it’s a full week where we can focus on training. I have to congratulate the players for understanding what we need to do to win.”
After Friday’s win over Juventus, 50-year-old Conceicao said he was not a nice person and did not smile much.
But after winning a trophy with Milan in just his second game in charge, he danced in the dressing room as he celebrated with his players.
“At the end of the game the players immediately told me that I had to smoke a cigar; they knew that I do this ritual when I lift a title,” Conceicao said.
“It’s my 13th title as a coach; I’m happy and it has a special flavour for me.”
